There have been 20 recent reported cases of canine flu in the San Antonio area. These cases range from mild to severe. Common symptoms include but are not limited to nasal discharge, fever, lethargy, coughing, inappetence, and anorexia. Dogs that are more prone to the flu are ones that are boarded, groomed, taken on walks, and in areas where there are other dogs present. While this flu has been more common in the Northeastern United States, it has now reached Texas! The good news is that there is a vaccine available for the canine flu, ask us about it!
